Since I’m trying to sell the M3, and will be by the local CarMax looking at an S10, I think I’m gonna have an appraisal done on the M3 for lulz.
Odds it will be well under $4000? Very high. But hey, good thing to kill some time before work today.

Carmax doesn’t usually haggle much. If you get anything close to 4k on the BMW I’d take it.

I’ll be shocked if they offer you any more than $2k. But sometimes they can surprise you.

Depending on where you live youd be better off waiting till late spring or summer. A good amount of your cars value will be calculated by the wholesale price, because its not near new enough to go out front, and that price can swing season to season

You could save yourself a trip. Look at manheim auction averages, and subract $750. They’d send it straight to auction, and charge you $750 for the time it takes to do the paperwork, transport, and auction fees.
